Dear Liberal Arts/Social Sciences Major:

Congratulations on your option of Westchester Community College to proceed your academic pursuits. Today's complex, fast changing world requires professionals to have a solid foundation in primal cognition, to think critically, and to communicate well. You lot have wisely called a curriculum, Liberal Arts/Social Sciences, which prepares you lot for the demands of the job market in today'south dynamic earth.

In addition to providing the strong foundation needed to be successful in the chore market, the Liberal Arts/Social Sciences Curriculum requirements are structured to enable our graduates <strong>to transfer every bit juniors to iv-year colleges</stiff>. A survey of recent graduates who attended commencement revealed that over 80% of these students planned to transfer to a four-year college. A pregnant proportion of these graduates reported receiving bookish transfer scholarships, which ranged in value from $500 to $42,000. Julie holds a Doctorate and Masters in Anthropology from Academy of California, Davis, and a BA in Anthropology from Rutgers Academy. Her specialty is biological anthropology, with a focus on primatology. Her dissertation enquiry on primate stress, temperament, and social instability has been published in the American Journal of Primatology and Primates. She also has research experience in primate socioecology and chat analysis. Julie won the Outstanding Graduate Student Teaching Award at the University of California, Davis, in 2017. Since and so, she has taught in California, Utah, and New York, exploring facets of anthropology such every bit primate ecology, linguistic anthropology, and the evolution of man lifecycles.

Maria holds a doctorate in Cognitive and Health Psychology from DeMontfort University in Leicester, United kingdom of great britain and northern ireland, a Masters in Rehabilitation Neuropsychology from Touro College and a Masters in Psychology from Queens College. She has over a decade of adjunct education experience at several of the CUNY colleges, including Lehman, College of Staten Island, York and Queens College. In improver, she adjunct taught at Mercy College, where she received recognition for her adjunct teaching in 2018. Bated from her knowledge of psychology and clinical psychology, she is a methodologist, with experience teaching statistics, quantitative methodologies and experimental pattern. She has also supervised several undergraduate and Principal's student thesis. Her dissertation research focused on early maladaptive cognitive schema and post-stroke depression and recently her research focus is on the causes and correlates of Misophonia.
